Bronze and Colored/Bubbled Glass (indoors)
8’H x 45’W x 6’D
Eight glass towers rise out of a lush bed of grasses. Created
from a unique colored and bubbled glass and stabilized by
rich earth-tone bronze caps, these towers are internally lit
so as to project warm light into the lobby space and create
a complex arrangement of triangular shapes on the ceiling
above. As the Millennium Building is one of the first “green”
(environmentally-minded) buildings in Washington, DC, this
calming sculpture suggests the potential harmony between urban
landscape and mother earth.
