Acrobats

Acrobats was created for Guest Suites, Willow Valley Communities, Willow Street, Pennsylvania. This large-scale design consists of five connected curvilinear elements that emulate the complex movements of acrobats during a performance. Each element is designed to move with the wind, rotating around a central vertical axis in a way that simulates the actions of winding and unwinding. The movement is enabled by a kinetic mechanism inside the vertical component, conceptualized and constructed by the artist. This internal mechanism ensures that all elements move together seamlessly, reflecting the coordinated and fluid nature of acrobatic routines. The design not only captures the elegance of acrobatic movement but also demonstrates a perfect integration of artistic design and mechanical innovation, creating a dynamic interaction with its surroundings.
