Two Elements
Two gracefully arching shapes rise toward each other, converging to frame a striking negative space at their center. This void is filled with a large curtain of water cascading downward, adding a fluid and ever-changing element to the structure. Additionally, water flows continuously down the surfaces of the sculpture, enhancing its appearance with a shimmering, reflective quality that captures light and attention both day and night.
This dramatic water sculpture was specifically designed for the Boone County National Bank in Columbia, Missouri. The design also serves as a nod to arches used in classical bank architecture, reflecting the stability and grandeur typically associated with such buildings. The work serves not only as a captivating visual landmark but also as a focal point of beauty and contemplation for visitors and passersby alike. The play of light on the water enriches the sculpture’s aesthetic, making it a prominent and admired feature.
